We are proud to introduce a change in our valet trash service for all of our residents! We have switched the company that services the door-to-door valet trash that is included for the residents at Sun Lake.The changes that you can expect from this service is:
- Valet Waste will deliver new trash bins to each doorstep.
- Bagged trash can be placed in the bin between 6pm and 8pm of each day of service; Trash placed out before or after service will result in fines assessed to your apartment ledger.
- Service days for valet trash are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- There is no service on holidays (e.g. July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve/Day & New Years Eve/Day).
- Collection starts promptly at 8pm in the evening - All trash must be in the bin by 8pm as Valet Waste's team members work very fast.
- All trash must be bagged and tied - no loose trash permitted.

We are appreciative of the new service, but to be fined for putting your trash out (tied in a bag) in your plastic box before 6:00PM or after 8:00PM is ridiculous. I wouldn't let garbage sit in my house when I have a covered plastic trash box right outside my door. My hopes are that the fine is not imposed unless you consistently make a mess of your trash. Also, a recycling service would be very helpful.

We appreciate your concern about the new valet trash service. We do not allow trash to be set out very long before trash collection because of the obvious unpleasant smells, visual appeal and attraction of pests, rodents and wildlife. The policies of the new company are clearly communicated and defined, but our previous company had similar restrictions although this may not have been communicated properly before.
